Departments are managed through the Crew page. There's no separate "delete department" button — a department disappears automatically once it has no crew members left in it.
Deleting a Department
- If you remove every crew member from a department, the department itself will be deleted automatically.
- Once the last member is gone, it disappears from the Crew page.
- To remove a crew member entirely, open the Crew page, click the i icon next to their name, and use the delete (bin) button on their info card. (Removing someone from a session on the Day Overview only takes them off that session — it doesn't delete their profile or their department.)
- You can rename a department at any time using the pencil icon on its header bar on the Crew page.
Tidying Up Units
- Departments belong to units (for example, Core or Dailies).
- If a department is removed, its unit remains. You can edit or delete units from Setup → Unit List.
- Empty units still appear on the Crew page (as a unit banner with nothing under it) until you delete them from Setup.
⚠️ Warning: Deleting a unit deletes everything inside it — all of its departments and their crew members, whose wallet passes will stop working. Only delete a unit when you're sure you no longer need the crew in it.
Key Points
- A department is automatically deleted once it has no crew.
- Deleting a crew member removes their future scheduled pickups, but past collection history is kept.
- Units can be tidied separately from Setup → Unit List — but deleting a unit also deletes its departments and crew.
- Keeping units and departments clean makes it easier to schedule crew.
That's how department deletion works — simply clear the last member and the system does the rest.
