Only the Owner of an account can have it permanently deleted. There's no delete button inside the app — the Owner emails support@reelcount.com from their registered address, and we verify the request before removing anything.
What Gets Deleted
When an account is deleted:
- All crew records are removed, including any photos.
- All passes are invalidated — they stop scanning immediately, and the wallet passes on crew members' phones are shown as void (Apple Wallet) or disabled (Google Wallet).
- Schedules and collection history for the production are no longer accessible once the account is removed.
- All location data is removed, including scanner background images.
- Every user's login for the account is removed, along with any pending invitations.
⚠️ Warning: Deletion is permanent. Once done, no data can be recovered.
Timing of Deletion
- If you have a self-serve subscription, cancel in Settings → Billing (Stripe Customer Portal) so charging stops at the end of the current billing period. Legacy manual agreements may run to their agreed end date — support will confirm.
- Data is deleted in line with our privacy notice once billing has ended.
- There is no option to restore data after deletion.
Key Points
- Only Owners can request account deletion, via support@reelcount.com.
- Deletion removes access to the production and its data permanently.
- Cancel billing in the Customer Portal (or per your agreement) when you close the account.
That's what happens to your data when an account is closed — complete removal, carried out securely and in line with data protection law.
