ReelCount runs on a daily cycle, but there's no big overnight "reset" — and nothing is ever wiped. Collections are tracked per session, so each new day's sessions simply start fresh.
How a New Day Starts
- Wallet passes stay valid all the time — they aren't cleared or reissued overnight. A crew member who collected today can collect again tomorrow because tomorrow's session is a new session.
- Each pass can be scanned once per session. When a new session begins, everyone scheduled for it is eligible to collect again.
- At midnight the Dashboard moves on to the new day's sessions. Yesterday's numbers aren't lost — they move into the Previous Sessions panel on each location card.
What Doesn't Change
- Your crew list remains unchanged.
- Future schedules stay in place.
- Past days remain fully accessible: open any date from the Schedule calendar to see its Day Overview, and use Export to Excel there for your back page.
A Note on Late-Night Sessions
ReelCount's day boundary is midnight UTC (during British Summer Time that's 1 a.m. UK time). Sessions can be set to end the following day in the web app, but the scanner only treats a session as active on the calendar date it was created for. For overnight catering, prefer sessions that start and end within the same ReelCount day.
