Yes — even if a crew member isn’t scheduled for that day, they can still collect for others using the Scan Multiple Passes option in the Scanner app.

How It Works

  • On the scanner, tap Scan Multiple Passes.
  • The collector must first scan their own pass ("Scan your own QR code first"). This identifies who is collecting, even if they aren’t scheduled — it doesn't use up a meal.
  • The app then asks if they'd like to collect their own meal now. Their own meal is only approved if they're actually scheduled at that location.
  • They can then scan the passes of the crew members they're collecting for, one after another.
  • When they finish, the app confirms how many meals were collected.

Key Points

  • The collector does not need to be scheduled, but they must have an active (issued, not revoked) pass.
  • ReelCount records who collected on behalf of others — in the Day Overview, the pickup shows "Collected by <name>".
  • Only scheduled crew will have their meals approved. This holds at "unlocked" collection points (craft, coffee) too — scheduling is still required there; those crew just aren't limited to one collection.

That’s how collections work when someone is picking up for others but isn’t scheduled themselves.
